Tanner played a song from Nutcracker, but it was his first and he was very nervous. This was his better song.

Cynjyn played in her first ever recital. She learned a song even though she hadn't learned all the notes yet. She did great and claims to have NOT been nervous!!

Happy Birthday

Talon turned 18 on the 16th!! Tiffany got him an ice cream cake with magic candles that he just couldn't blow out. She got him a bunch of clothes too and a wallet. We paid for him to take her to Mystere for their anniversary on the 19th and gave him some money for dinner that night.

Ward Christmas Party

The primary was in charge of the nativity for our ward Christmas party. So we had a little reinactment of the night. Taz was a wiseman, and Cynjyn was Mary. We had members of the presidency's kids be in it as it was easier. The primary also sang two songs. Don't they look cute??

It's the MOST wonderful time of the year!

The tree is up and the decorations are out, the stockings are hung, now we just sit back and enjoy the magic of it all!! Take the time to do that this year.

Grateful for the little things...

Taking a shower in my new shower this morning!! Finally done (well, the toilet isn't in yet, but will be today.) The bathroom is done. We went and bought new shower rod and curtain last night. I love it. Cynjyn thinks it makes her feel rich!! (unfortunatly, we are now extremely poor after paying for it all) YEAH!!!!!!!!!

Bathroom update

The bathroom is now painted metallic gold and the grout is sealed. Tonight we bought a shower curtain and some other decor stuff, so maybe it'll be all together tonight and I can shower in the morning!!

Thanksgiving!

Cynjyn and I made rolls, Taz and Cynjyn broke up the slush punch and we had the Wikle family over for the big dinner. Afterwards, we played games and visited until 11:00 pm!!

The day continues...

Taz, Cynjyn and Garry got the turkey in the oven and they we set off for the ward turkey bowl. The youth against the elders and high priests, the old folks won 5 touchdowns to 4!!

Thanksgiving Day??

Well, the inevitable finally happened. Remeber last year in our Christmas letter, I said Garry was redoing our master bath?? Well, a year later, we finally got around to it. Taz took a shower one morning and leaned against the wall, and it just caved in. So, Thanksgiving morning, Garry started ripping it apart. So, that leads me to the first thing I'm thankful for...a handy man husband who thinks he can do anything!!

Yes, it is now Wednesday, almost a week later and I still can't shower in my new bathroom, but at least it's getting closer to that day!

A death in the family

Last weekend, we lost a "member" of the family. Talon's beloved cat Tookie died of old age. We knew he was on his way out by about Tuesday, and he died sometime Saturday morning. It was very hard on Talon. We got Tookie when Talon was about 2 years old, so he's never known life without him. He was a good cat and it is amazing how the loss of one little cat can really make the house feel so empty. We loved Tookie, but know he is better off now.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Halloween is an event for our family. We spend all month thinking about what we can be...We spend all weekend gathering supplies...We spend all day getting ready...We spend all night having FUN!!

Three day weekend...

What to do with a three day weekend?? Taz and Cynjyn cleaned the bathroom. We played Cities and knights and Cynjyn slept on the couch while we played all night (We finished at 11:30 pm!).

After the show...

After the show, the cast was out and about and Taz and Cynjyn were brave enough to get photos snapped with them, but Cynjyn still wouldn't go near a zombie (who would with a vampire and Jason lurking??)
