This is our halloween

I need to wrap up spirit week and this is the picture Taz got of him and his gang. They are in numerical order! He said it was fun having 5 other people to be twins with. That night at mutual, we assmbled and decorated gingerbread house. It was fun.

The next day was Steve Urkel day and Taz channeled his inner nerd.

Lawson and Alexis did too!

Thursday was Halloween costume day. This is the only Halloween my kids are getting. Today there was no school because of Nevada Day, so Thursday was it. We leave for Zion tomorrow after Taz's football game, and we will be there on Halloween. So this was it. Tanner is a twisted clown from the Dominic/Robert So You Think You Can Dance clown dance He has Robert's costume and Dominic's face.

Here's the back.

Close up of the face.

Taz completed his Mad Hatter hat with the rest of the costume. He got LOTS of compliments at school. There little group had decided to all be Alice characters, but only 4 of them ended up actually doing it.

Isn't he adorable??

Here he is with the white rabbit and the white queen. They are in our carpool.

Cynjyn's was super easy this year and she looked peaced out!
Love the $5.00 Wal-Mart glasses.

This is how Taz's costume faired by the end of the day. His eyelashes had fallen down a little and he had a little pink soul patch from playing his saxophone during band, but he wanted a picture. He had a dentist appointment right after school to get his teeth cleaned and he went in costume. He was the hit of the office. They all loved it. We stopped by the bank to show Talon on our way home and his boss was blown away by Taz.
He wanted a picture of his hat hair too. Both he and Tanner got hair cuts today, we'd let them grow it out for Halloween and it worked, but had to go.

Shae was Alice and Taz got a picture with her at school. They look really good together.
Taz, Cynj and I went to the Bellagio today since there was no school. It was gorgeous as usual.

All fall themed.

Lot's of purple and oranges and leafless things. I loved it.

They had about 7 of these giant pumpkins and this one weighed 1100 pounds. Taz thought they were fake at the beginning. Then he became obsessed with them.

Luckily, this Venus Fly Trap was fake.

We stopped by they chocolate place on the way home and got some chocolate covered strawberries. It was a fun outing.

Recipe for eyeballs:

3/4 C crunchy (has to be crunchy) peanut butter
1/2 C powdered sugar
1 C crushed Peanut Butter Puffs cereal

Mix all together (It takes awhile and is kinda hard to do). Roll into balls. Freeze for at least 15 min. Dip into melted white chocolate and stick an M& M on. You're supposed to put red wiggly frosting coming off the M&M to look like bloodshot eyes, but I didn't want to take the time.

Enjoy!

Twas the week before Halloween!

Garry and I were invited to a fun mystery party over the weekend. It was a party where we played a character and had to figure out who burned down our high school 20 years earlier on prom night. Garry was a stoner in high school and I was valedictorian. We ended up married. It was fun. We had it mostly figured out by the end of the night!! (Carol, remember when we did one of these for a ward activity? It reminded me of you!!)

Our week is filled with parties, football and spirit week. Here are Cynjyn and Sydney at their Activity Day's Halloween party.

Talon is watching the Ducks...his favorite...plus they are doing well, with his jersey, on the big screen!

Cynjyn's school had their annual Harvest Festival. We went last Friday. Taz and Cynjyn both loved the hula hoop contest.

Their favorite booth was to eat the Krispy Kreme donut off the string!

Taz had football Saturday. The weather was perfect for watching football, I actually got chilled and had to wrap up in my shirt.

Cynjyn had treats for FHE. I had made some Halloween eyeballs to take to a party that Garry and I went to on Friday. So, she decided to make some eyeballs for her FHE treat. They are yummy:)

I whipped up these cute little halloween treats yesterday to take to the YW girls tonight. They are so easy to do, just tear some muslin in strips and hot glue them and they wiggle eyes to a hershey bar. I made a tag and glued that on too. I will also give them to my Visiting Teachies.

It is spirit week at the middle school. Yesterday was pajama day. I always forget to take a picture of that. Today is twin day, so, here is Taz in his twin shirt he made with his twin.

They nicknamed themselves on the back.

Luckily, his twin is in the carpool. We picked up Lawson this morning and I got a picture.

Now, you thought it would end there right?? NO WAY, there are 6 of them, that's right, SIX. Only Alexis is in my carpool though, so I only got a picture of triplets.

Hopefully Taz will be able to get a picture of all 6 of them at school. I told him to try!! Still more to come as we continue the week before Halloween...bwahwahwah!!!

Happy, Sad, MISERABLE

First, the happy. I bought this pumpkin at WM for $5.oo. It is fake! I mixed some red and gold glitter and drew my design on with a sharpie, then painted over that with Modpodge and sprinkled the glitter on. After it was all dry, I sprayed it with gold glitter spray. I love that I can keep it up all during Halloween and Thanksgiving. I have been waiting for WM to put out their Christmas decorations. I never thought I'd be saying that, but I have been so wanting some purple bulbs to fill my big glass jar with. I finally got some!! Love it. I had made the pumpin to take to YW's as we were decorating pumpkins and this was a sample. I was with the Laurels and they did some cute, sparkly pumpkins. In the meantime, the Beehives were painting pumpkins and I thought this one turned out so cute, I HAD to take a picture of it!!
Now, onto the sad, Cynjyn had oral surgery on Tuesday. She had to have four teeth extracted and chains put in to pull her permanant teeth in straight. What we don't do for perfect teeth?? Garry took her thank goodness, I hate the thought of the whole "my child is in pain" thing. This is what she looked like right when she got home.

Here are her four teeth.

The tooth fairy brought $10.00(the only happy thing about this ordeal!).

She woke up yesterday looking like Little Cindy Lu Who from Whoville!

By last night, she was still very swollen.

This is what she looked like this morning. She feels terrible and looks terrible. I feel so bad for her!

She hasn't been back to school as she doesn't want to go with her face all swollen. She is MISERABLE, and misses school and wants everything to be back to normal!! So do I.
