Late Birthday Dinner

We've been going out to dinner on birthday's this year, but I decided I wanted a home cooked meal. So I requested that Talon make his Korean BBQ spare ribs and Taz to make Bulgogi. We ended up having to postpone it until March 3 because of Taz's trip to Utah. But we had it at Talon and Mikel's house. Taz whipped up the Bulgogi. Talon started the ribs then ran out of propane, so after a quick trip to get more, he started up again and the grill caught on fire and he burned his hand trying to save the ribs (which he did).  Mikel heard that you should put mustard on a burn (so he did). It was a delicious dinner and by the time we got done, Jaxon enjoyed the dessert I'd brought which was a honeydew ice cream bar. Cynjyn and I played with Jaxon after dinner, Mikel meal prepped for the week and the boys played Terraforming Mars.

Sadies 2019

Sadies was a little weird this year.  The school didn't really sanction it so Cynjyn and Demi just decided to do it this year. They had only a few options on dates and ended up going Friday night at 7:00 pm. Cynjyn made a sign to ask Eric out...he loves Spiderman! Cynjyn had to teach a dance to the girls trying out for dance team next year until 6...but she got done around 5 so that's why they couldn't leave earlier. They got Marvel shirts.  Demi went with Noah, one of her and Eric's freiends that goes to Liberty.  They went to Panda Express for dinner and then to AxeMonkey for an hour of Axe Throwing. They said it was really fun. Then they went to Noah's house to watch High School Musical 3. We were not able to do a photo shoot because Garry and I left before them to go to his Arcata party.  I think we will all be sad about that because there could have been some Marvel-ous photos!

February little things

This is what I want to remember from February: My sleepy snuggly baby. "Happy" dance team performer. Finishing my December Daily album. Jaxon and Cynjyn enjoying after school snacks. Hanging out during piano lessons with Mikayla. Tanner playing a piano solo in sacrament meeting and little gift box of Valentine goodies. Sunday outfit and selfy with Cynjyn. Rainy, snowy, cold weather all month! Jaxon's TVwatching and snack eating throne. Making everyone take me to Dairy Queen after dinner on my birthday for a treat. Flowers from Garry on my birthday and buying cupcakes for Valentine's Day from Lindsay Miranda. Thelma tatting me a doily for my birthday present. Jaxon only likes Taz when he throws him up in the air. Cynjyn finding an old penguin costume that we'd made for Talon in grade school for reading week when he was Mr. Poppers Penguin. We were cleaning and organizing our fabric bins in the garage. Taz and Tanner rediscovering Hero Scape from their childhood and playing it for hours. Cynjyn's prom dress coming in the mail from Amazon and Garry and Jaxon doing various projects (cleaning out the dryer lint, setting up bowling and fixing his little bench) on his days off. Tanner and Jaxon playing (Jaxon stealing his hat and glasses to be specific). Running errands with baby. He gets to help grandpa drive while we are waiting to get gas. Spring is in the air. Piano lesson time and finally, Taz's missionary friends staying overnight with us when they were down for the weekend.

Taz goes to Utah

Taz decided to take a short trip to Utah in the middle of all this snow mess. It snowed Wednesday night and he left Thursday right after his work in the temple to head to Utah. I told him to only go to Cedar City and spend the night with Elder Jenkins. Which thankfully he did. He loved his time there and went to work with him at a gym that provided rehabilitation to people with Parkinson's disease and helps them work out and keep the illness at bay. He had a great time helping with that. I get a text from him and Hailey at the BYU volleyball game to say Hi! So I texted him back the photo of Garry and I driving home from Cynjyn's drumline competition to say Hi! back.  He had a great time. He had a little mini mission district reunion one night. He went out with Hailey several times which he loved! They went rock climbing and lunch with Chunie and Jens,they had a game night at Chunies with her boyfriend and they made berry cobler, they hiked the Y in the snow and played Uno at the top, they sat in the library and studied (Hailey) and read the Book of Mormon (Taz) for three hours. He hooked up with Lawson one day and they went to lunch and then Lawson showed him around campus and they visited a fun museum.  He randomly ran into so many people he knew...old missionary friends, Dexter Wadsworth, Zach Roylance, actual friends from Korea, Ino, friends from High School, Courtney Edington and more friends from his mission, Xander Babbet. He just really had a great time. I'm so glad he was safe from the weather conditions as he went about is trip. He came back with news that he might be going to BYU. It is a great place for him with so many people he knows to love and support him there.
