March Little Things

I discovered a Keto friendly chocolate lava cake in a mug. I have it about once a month. It's yummy.
I painted during the day and froze at night. Keto friendly Root Beer Float. I've discovered that leaving on the previous days makeup gives me great smoky eyes the next day. I had to get ready for our big Stake Activity day camp.  This year we went up to the BSA camp and let the girls do a mini day camp run by the BSA. The only bad part, it was FREEZING! and I mean it! 34 degrees. I was in 4 layers, a hat, scarf and gloves and I still froze! Some girls were just in light jackets.  It was miserable. But we had a grab and go breakfast at the church in the parking lot and headed up there by 7:30 am. We finally left around 2 with one station left to go to.  I think it would have been so much more fun if it had been just a tad warmer. The girls loved the snake and making poi balls the best.  I played with some Instagram filters, I love entertaining myself.  Our garage is so packed right now with the remodel. I had Tanner attempt to get me a table...he had to climb over everything.

Garry wants Talon to try this food challenge.  Don't my kiddos look great for church?! Flowers from my visiting teachers. Still getting my nails done.  Talon, Mikel and Jaxon met us for the band silent auction dinner. It was a gloomy week and Cynjyn made me bid on a flute lamp which I won for $60.00. I love it when my kids spend time together and enjoy each other's company.

Officer Goon

March 22, 2018

Talon has had many careers in his short life.  Each one has been a step up and an improvement. He has worked hard to provide for himself and his family.  He recently applied to be a CCSD police officer. He loved Parole and Probation, but this went up two steps on the pay scale and ultimately has great hours. So he applied last fall and got the job.  He started a training and will continue that through August. But they did an official ceremony after the first part of the training to give them their badges and welcome them to the force.  It was during the day and Tanner and I had it off and were watching Jaxon, so the three of us went to support him. It was a nice little ceremony and he is official now. He won't get his school assignment until around August though.

Jaxon in March

This month we saw a lot of sickness in our poor baby.  He was stuffy and developed a rash.  We worked a lot on dexterity and picking up food which he's getting better at, but he still doesn't put it in his mouth much, he prefers us to feed him.  I started watching him at my house towards the end of the month. Talon switched jobs and I now have him Wed-Friday and so it's now easier to bring him here. That meant a trip to Goodwill to get some baby toys and shopping at Barbara Zachs baby garage (she's a lady in our ward who has a grandson a year and a half older than Jaxon, so she lets me borrow things he's out grown like a high chair and stroller.)  So he got to enjoy discovering new things at grandma's house. He likes bowls and pizza pans and things he can scoot around and make noise with on the floor. He's also discovered the joys of D and D and other games.  He is still a happy joyful baby and he's a snuggler which makes his grandma happy!
