Three day weekend...

What to do with a three day weekend?? Taz and Cynjyn cleaned the bathroom. We played Cities and knights and Cynjyn slept on the couch while we played all night (We finished at 11:30 pm!).

After the show...

After the show, the cast was out and about and Taz and Cynjyn were brave enough to get photos snapped with them, but Cynjyn still wouldn't go near a zombie (who would with a vampire and Jason lurking??)

More THRILLS...

This zombie was Taz's favorite and he was bugging me all night to get a picture taken with him, so during the 15 min. intermission, we roamed around upstairs and found him lurking and Taz went right up to him and posed!! The picture above this is the opening number where they are all dancing to Thriller.

A THRILLER of a night

We went up to St. George last night to Tuachan to see Odysey's Thriller. It is a dance troupe that puts on a Halloween show each year. We went last year for the first time and LOVED it, so we got tickets again this year. We took Tiffany for the first time and she loved it and already wants to go again next year. Before the performance starts, there are a bunch of "zombies" roaming around and last year the kids were terrified of them. This year Cynjyn was still a little scared and wouldn't look at them until we were in our seats, but then got a little braver. Taz got so brave he decided to pose with one. We had to force Tanner to go stand by the one lying on the ground. It was such a fun night. We got the kids out of school early and left town by 2:00 and when we got there, we ate at Outback and then stopped at Smith's for snacks and drinks, then headed up the mountain to Tuachan. After it got over, we drove back home (2 hours) and were home by 11:15. Luckily, the kids don't have school today because it's Nevada Day!!

Stake Dance festival

Tanner participated in the stake dance festival this year. It was dancing through the decades and he did the 70's, 80's and 90's dance. We got it all on video, but only one picture of the actual performance turned out. He did do an MC Hammer dance that involved a cute costume. I'll try to get him to put that on so I can post a picture of it.

Pinewood derby time

Taz participated in his second pinewood derby this year. He almost didn't do it because he had a football game, but his good friend Lawson took his car to the weigh in and got it started racing until Taz could get there. He always goes for looks, not speed. He came up with the concept and Garry cut it out for him, then he painted it. We thought it was pretty cool looking!!

Tanner turns 13!!

We did a survivor party for Tanner's birthday. We had several individual immunity events. The above event is "Chubby Bunny" (hands down the favored event by the boys...they couldn't stop laughing.)
A bubble blowing contest...a las,it was so windy and cold that the gum was cold and got hard, so it proved to be the hardest event!!
Taz's least favortie...the gross food challenge, raspberry jello with gummy worms. (He detests jello)

Cynjyn was a trooper, she had just thrown up at home, but we made her come and wrapped her in a blanket and she cheered everyone on through her sickness!! (it really was freezing and yes, she is wrapped up in a huge comforter and a sweatshirt, with her survivor buff around her neck)

A sick girl...

Cynjyn was sick all weekend throwing up!! So what is a girl to do?? She entertained herself with my jewlery for over an hour just sitting on my bed. She is SUCH a GIRLY GIRL!!
