Taz's big day
Taz had his ortho appointment yesterday and when he came out...look what they'd done!! They said that the braced accomplished what they needed now they just need to wait for him to lose baby teeth and get some permanant ones in and he'll be good to go for the next phase. He still has to keep his expander in, but he's braces free. He was so happy. He did comment that his mouth felt slimy and it took a while to get used to.
Then today was crazy hat day at school...so there you go!!

Wisdom Teeth
The day after Tanner had his teeth pulled, not to puffy.
Two days after Tanner had his teeth pulled...can anyone say CHIPMUNK!
Tanner had to get his wisdom teeth pulled. I had scheduled it for June 10th, the week of graduation and company in town (I know, what WAS I thinking??) He made me change it because I always cook good things to eat when Grandma and Grandpa come. So he got them out June 16th. Our appointment was at 9:30, they took Tanner back at11:15 and he was done at 11:45. Good thing I brought a book! He was out of it most of the day sleeping thank goodness. I had to wake him every 20 min. to change out his gauze, thank goodness he could do that himself!! He didn't look to bad the day after, but two days latter his skinny cheeks were soooo swollen!!! They stayed that way for about three days and every morning, I had to chuckle at how he looked! He said he wasn't in too much pain and every day he got a little better. I was trying to get him to go places with me thinking he might want to get out of the house, but noooo, he didn't want ANYONE to see those cheeks!! He's totally healed now and laughing over my shoulder as I blog this!!

graduation vacation fun
Taz and Kres chillin on our bed. Taz is actually trying to get Kres to take a nap. It worked!
We went to the Lion habitat and the MGM with Tanner, Trampis and Ella one day while Taz and Cynjyn were still in school. Can you see the ghost image of me in the reflection taking the picture?
The boys watching a movie in our room.
The girls playing in the kids room.
Our big adventure was the Shark Reef and the Mandalay Bay. The kids loved the touch pool and we had to literally pull Cynjyn and Ella away from it.

Recital Time
Last night was my spring recital. I had 13 students and we started the recital at 5:30 and it was done by 6:15. Everyone did so good!! They really had time to practice. I was supposed to have it May 19th, but no one was ready, so I postponed it. I am so glad I did.
I made quite a spread for the after recital treats. We had: Little Smokies, homemade salsa and chips, strawberries, grapes and fresh pineapple, cheese and crackers, homemade chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, egg salad and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and I made three different cookies: chocolate chip, rice krispy treats, and Oh Henry bars. For our drinks we had rootbeer floats. I was literally in the kitchen all day from 7-2:30 making and preparing things. Then Tanner and I went to the church and unloaded all the food and set up the chairs and cut the ice cream for rootbeer floats. When I was a newlywed, my parents ran a little league concession stand and every once in awhile, we would serve RB Floats. You get a rectangular container of ice cream and cut it down the middle and then cut it into sections and put them in the cups and put them in the freezer until you're ready to use them, so Tanner and I did that.
Everyone apprectiated the spread and I was so glad to have it over for another 6 months!! So the above videos are Tanner playing his first song: Tokyo Toccatina, Taz and Lawson Borla doing their duet of Chopsticks (which by the way sounded horrible Sunday when Lawson came over to practice, it was a miracle they pulled it off, but they were so cute!!), and Cynjyn playing her last piece, Love is Spoken Here.
