We brought a frying pan and I had precooked a bunch of sausage and we headed to the grocery store to get some eggs and spinach. We had a mini fridge and a microwave in our room. Every morning, we made ourselves breakfast and we bought some stuff to take up on campus for lunch. so we only ate out at dinner time. It worked out great!
Education week technically runs Tues-Fri, but you can come early and do a Monday. We opted to do Monday and we were up and going by 6:00am.
During the week we took a class called 5 movies that were better than the book and look who we found sitting in front of us...Emily and Mariah! How fun was that!
Later in the week (Friday) BYU women's volleyball was having a tournament, so we skipped out on some classes and went to watch a game...Amity, Emily and their daughters showed up too!!
Every morning after breakfast, we would park at the Marriot Center and go inside and walk around it for our morning walk. We got there early to get a parking place for the day, so walking was a perfect way to kill time. We took some pictures on our walk...
Right next to the Marriot Center was a the BYU Basketball hall of fame/training center. We went into that one day too.
The campus as usual is filled with beauty..I couldn't resist my portrait mode pictures.
We missed Cynjyn's first home football game and seeing dance team perform, so she sent us a picture before her game!
She also sent this with the caption that the grape vine was overtaking the back yard and trying to get inside!
They had just added to the MTC and were offering tours of it. We signed up and took an hour out of our afternoon to go see it.
I was immediately overcome when I walked in and started crying...thinking of Taz and the fact that he had been there and felt the spirit and lived and prepared there. It was overwhelming for me...
A look into the dorms
Spirituality everywhere,
Pday for some of the missionaries.
The outside court yard marked with flags from the different countries where our missionaries serve.
The middle of it...

We made it our goal to take a selfie in front of some of our favorite campus places...this was our first day of classes. We are on the side of the Marriot Center.

The bell tower...
At the play Brigadoon...
And all too soon, the week was over and it was time to head home. A lot happened in that week, a lot of bad, but mostly good as our spirits were fed and nourished and our relationship was strengthened. It was worth everything sacrificed to be there together! We've already booked our hotel room for next year.
