Christmas

We decided to do Christmas in La Grande this year after always having it at Krissy's for the past few years. It was a little crowded, but we had a really good time. The presents over powered the tree after they were all unloaded. On Christmas eve, Tanner, Garry and Taz enjoyed an intense game of Jenga. We had our traditional snacks/finger foods/ for dinner. Then we settled in to play our games. The first game was piggy piggy. The center person was blind folded and spun around. Everyone switched chairs and then the middle person found someone and tapped them and said piggy piggy. Then the chosen person had to snort and the middle person tried to guess who it was. All the grandkids did the chocolate bar game next. We had to keep the tradition alive for those younger ones. Then we did our gift exchange and ended with the nativity reenactment. Beckham and Annalyn were Joseph and Mary, Taz and Kres were shepherds and Coulsen, Ella and Cynjyn were the tree wise men. Tanner helped the scenes run smoothly by helping out Mary and Joseph. Before bed, all the grandkids searched for a pickle hidden in the tree. The one that found it first would get to open the first present in the morning. Taz was the winner.

Santa was good to everyone this year with their stockings and goodies. Unfortunately, Tanner had gotten sick in the middle of the night and was throwing up, so he was not having a good Christmas morning. But he was a trooper and we all had our piles loaded up ready to open. We spent the rest of the day just being together, except Tanner went back to Hibberts and slept. We played games and Annalyn did our makeup. We had a yummy turkey and prime rib dinner, but mom didn't have a meat thermometer, so the Prime rib wasn't done until around 8pm, well after we'd eaten!
