Well, it's taken me almost a week to add this. Cynjyn and I got our hair cut last Friday. I wanted short, but this is nothing like the picuture I showed Lilly. I hated it at first, but now I'm starting to get used to it. All I can say is...thank heavens hair grows fast!

Summer Moments

We had a great time in Oregon. We were there only 18 days, but it was fun. We visited the old state penitentiary in Boise and here we are in the Solitary Confinement cell!
We tried to go up Fox Hill to pick huckleberries, but it was too late in the season and we literally found only one lone huckleberry. Tanner and Krissy have problems with allergies and dust, can you tell??
The kids played outside most of each day. They made wands and played Harry Potter, that is until...they stepped on a hornet nest and got attacked by the buzzers:( They each got at least two stings and that stiffled their outside playing for a couple of days.
When Trampis was visiting, they had a big slumber party and Taz was thrilled that Lola jumped up on the couch to sleep with him. The boys were so engrossed Harry Potter, they didn't even seem to notice!!

So... We got the book Saturday, Garry was done by Sunday. I started it Sunday night, but still had company until Wednesday, then had to recoup from the company, so I didn't get much reading done. I didn't want to see any media, or hear any hype and spoil the book for me, so I took drastic steps on Friday and stayed in bed all day reading. I started at 9:30 and was done by 4:30. I am sad to be done as I will never anticipate a release of a new Harry Potter book again. But am excited to have been a part of it all. I loved the book and do feel a bit sad that it's over. I just watched the interview with JK Rowling on Dateline (I'd DVR'd it as we were in CA when it aired) and am experiencing a new wave of sadness that it's all over, but like her, am looking forward to two new movies and time in my life when I can reread them all back to back!! If you're not into Harry Potter, you need to be!!

Quick Trip to Disneyland

We took Talon down to Long Beach for a week long volleyball camp and since it is only 20 min. from Disneyland, we took advantage of our passes and went Sunday and Monday. We like going much better in October, or early December, but it wasn't too bad.

I promised my sister I wouldn't blog this picture, but I couldn't resist!! What's a blog without a cute picture AND, they say we should be in more of our pictures!!

We have a HOUSE FULL of company. Grandma, Grandpa, Ky, Kres, Krissy and Lola (the dog), Trampis, Ella, and Trey all came up to ENJOY some time in the pool. It is very crowded, but a lot of FUN!

Well, my lovely sister reprimanded me for not having a blog. I said they were too much work and I would spend all my time blogging and not get anything else done! But she wouldn't accept that excuse either. So...here I am in the wonderful world of Blog.
