Catch up time: Spring Break 2011

Tanner, Taz, Cynjyn and I packed up and headed to Boise for Spring Vacation. We hadn't gone anywhere for spring break since our Branding experience several years ago. So it was nice to get away. We went to Shoshone Idaho the first day and spent the night at my brothers house. Taz had a scout camp fundraiser in Caliente NV, so we had to pick him up from that at 2:00 pm on our way. We had a nice visit with them even though it was pretty late when we got there. Jodi fixed us a delicious breakfast the next morning, and then we were off to Boise. (About 2 hours away). We got there Sunday afternoon and my sister Krissy hosted a family BBQ that evening that all of my siblings and their families were at. We were all enjoying Krissy's new house on 4 acres with plenty of room to explore and roam!

Randy was the official mushroom and onion sauteer1

Taz was in heaven because he was able to ride the 4 wheeler until their neighbor got mad at the kids because he was sleeping as he works nights and wanted them to be quiet from 4-10pm! Bummer!

The girls helped Krissy cook.

Tanner was putting his boy scout skills to use and attempting to make and keep a fire going.

One of the days there, we went on a preschool field trip with Kres to a children's discovery museum. The kids loved laying on a bed of nails!

And discovering!

My personal favorite was the giant bubble maker.

After the museum, we went to the zoo. It was a cold, rainy day. We'd brought a lunch to eat in between and during our lunch, we had some visitors...geese, they were pretty aggresive.

We loved the zoo, the animals were awake, alert and doing fun things. I scrapbooked a few pages of our time there.

Taz loved Krissy's house, especially her giant bathtub.

He loved her giant shower too, but it was hard to get a good picture of it's giantness. He tried and tried to get and keep a fire going.

On Friday, Ky threw Beckham his second birthday party. It was a baseball theme. We helped her carry her vision through. Here the kids are packing peanuts for the concession stand.

Here's some random shots of the kids and decorations. The dessert table.

Tanner and Beckham

The cute divider wall decorated.
The great helpers.

Some of the partygoers.
The assistant the party planner and the cook.

The "goodie bag" concession stand where they could buy goodies with the tickets they earned.

The after party cleanup crew.

We had such a fun time. The week went by way to fast and the weather was cold, but the company and memories were worth it all.
