Class of 2013

Tanner graduated this June. He comes from such a great family.  His grandparents, 2 aunts and three cousins came all the way down here to support him. It was a great week.  Our company showed up Tuesday, June 4th.  The kids were still in school, so we didn't do much Wednesday.  Thursday however, we went down on the strip.  Trampis hadn't been here for awhile and so we went to the Bellagio and Ceasars palace.  It was hot, but we enjoyed the free sights.  I made a lot of dinners this week too.  We ate good:  lettuce wraps one night, Enchiladas; some meatless, some cheeseless, some with red sauce, some with green sauce, some with flour and some with corn tortillas. Pork loin one night and a bbq with hamburgers, hotdogs and grilled pesto chicken.  Let's just say no one was ever hungry!!  Graduation was very good actually.  We knew three of the 4 valedictorian speakers and Tanner was on the front row and got a lot of camera time on the overhead screens.  It was cool in the Thomas and Mack center and we had good seats.  The graduation itself is actually very organized and goes quickly and smoothly.  Now if it was that easy getting out of the parking lot, it would have been nice.  I was driving dad's car with mom, dad and Tanner in it.  Garry was driving the suburban with everyone else.  They got out of the parking lot quickly as they were on the other side.  However, it took us a half an hour to get out!!  We were going to the multi-gen center to see Cynjyn in a teen harmony performance that started at 6.  We walked in the doors right at 6.  It was nice that the two coincided so that family could support both, but it sure made for a hectic afternoon.  Luckily, we had the delicious pork loin in the crockpot waiting for us!
We made our traditional t-shirts for Tanner.  They turned out cute with raccoons on them and Goon pride/team Tanner.  Trampis had just graduated the Sunday before and it was so nice to have him come down.  We don't get to see him much and it was a fun time!!
The Oregonians and Idahoans took full advantage of our pool and we swam in it for the first time It's not as cute as our old pool, but it seems bigger and it still cooled us off!

Love you Tanner!  You have a bright future ahead of you! Take advantage of every opportunity!
