October

We moved into our house October 5th. We spent the first night on mattresses. We were so happy to be in.

Taz and Hansen helped out at an enrichment where they taught first aid.
Tanner and Aaron taught too.
Cynjyn had her ears repierced.  She'd gotten them done when she was about three and when she was 7 or 8 lost one and her ears never healed and they closed up.  She asked me if she could get them repierced.  She was nervous and afraid, but managed to get it done.

We had the month of October to get the house ready to rent.  We had a renter interested in moving in November 1.  We didn't realize it would take soooo long to get it ready.  We cleaned and painted and painted and painted.
The whole house...white, barren and plain.
Garry and I spent so much time there.  Garry even more than the rest of us.  The kids helped a little.  Finally, the day the renters moved in we finished.  Garry and I painted through trunk or treat and halloween and our good friends childs baptism.  It consumed our lives and  took too long.  But alas it got done and we could rest easy now that the place was rented.
Because of our old house consuming our time, Cynjyn was the only one that dressed up for halloween.  She was a broken porcelain doll.  She did the make up herself and dressed up for Activity Days, school, trunk or treat and halloween.  She was awesome at it!
I managed to throw together my cat look for my preschool party.
Cynjyn participated in her first spirit week at school and dressed up for twim day with Bethany and Trinity.
Finally, we could devote some time to the new house.  We got Cynjyn a dresser off Craigslist for $20.00 and gave it a new coat of white paint (It was already white).  She loves it.
We have a huge pantry, but it only had one shelf.  So Garry went to work putting up a wall of shelves and we could finally organize our food storage.
These are the new shelves.
These are the shelves that were already there.
And in a momentous occasion, Garry and I voted for the first time EVER!  We felt it was truly that important.
We both hold our breath and shudder at the future of our country, and pray for it everyday.  Sometimes I really wonder if our votes count!
