It really annoys me how Thanksgiving is the skipped over holiday. I hate how the stores go from Halloween to Christmas. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I absolutly love the colors involed, the bright orange, reds and yellows. I love the change in the air and the crisp, cool mornings. I love sleeping in on Thanksgiving morning, staying in my pajamas all day, doing nothing but eating. (Any holiday that involves EATING all day is good with me!!). I love the smells of the different foods cooking and the desire to bake and make the house smell homey. I love that the kids are staying indoors and the darkness that comes early in the day. I love burning candles and making fires and relaxing. I just don't see why anyone would want to skip over this holiday. It won't ever happen here at my house!

It is a beautiful holiday, and you make it even better! Thanks for sharing your decorations! And, you don't just SKIP OVER anything!!!
I agree that the fall holidays in general are overlooked. I too decorate as soon as September hits. My cornstalks are up and pumpkins adorn my porch. Beautiful autumn colored candles are placed everywhere and many other fun decorations are strategically placed. Of course it is all in the name of bring beauty into my family's life. (Reed just thinks that I keep the economy going with my decoration purchases.) And I say that I am endorsed by God. He wants us to make our homes beautiful to. So I say here here to the fall! : )
You sure make it beautiful at your house! I think I am hosting at my house this year. That means I get to borrow a table and chairs from the school again! Classy accomodations, I know!

I'm definitely a lover of fall! I can't believe it when so many people have their Christmas lights and decorations up, and it's only the middle of November! I don't have many fall decorations, but I'm sure I'll get more when everything goes on sale after Thanksgiving.
Oh, and I love Thanksgiving Day and the food too! I can't wait!
I also LOVE the food! I'll admit, I'm not one for decor, but your house looks beautiful! We are looking forward to a relaxing Thanksgiving here. PJs all day and sleeping as much as our kids will let us!
Your decorations are all so fun! I miss being near you to be the recipient of some of your fun creations! I think I still have at least one thing from you for every holiday that I put out!
I totally agree. Santa is already at some malls and I won't let Tyler go visit until after Thanksgiving. If Santa has time to be at the malls this early, then who will oversee the toy making...Mrs. Claus? It is just wrong!!!
Ok, I better start decorating. I am slacking over here. Can I come over for thanksgiving Aunt gwen?
