Christmas Day

Christmas day was pleasant.  I got up around 7am and put the stocking stuff out.  I took a pano of the tree. It was such a pretty morning. The sun was shining around tree and the light was good. I was grateful to get a photo of mom and dad. Talon's family got over around 11 and Jaxon helped Tanner hand out the gifts. He was so funny because he would take them and pull off the bows of each one before he handed the gift to it's owner.  I had to take a little photo of the couch with all the bows on it. I took a photo of everyone with their stash and then we opened them one by one. Jaxon had a hard time with this, but he got the hang of it and it took almost an hour to open. This year was really weird because everyone had given me a list and I ended up getting everything from everyone's list. So nothing was a surprise. However, I like surprises, so I made sure to get everyone a surprise gift they didn't know was coming. We got Talon a tire filler kit. We got Tanner a sweater and a raccoon. We got Taz a synthesizer and a book (Matthew Mcconaughey-Green lights) and we got Cynjyn a Horror Movie Monster hoodie blanket and Grumpy Cat PJ's. Camdyn slept through the gift opening, so when he woke up from his nap, we let him open presents. We played games most of the afternoon and Taz took Jaxon swimming. We had decided to have Mexican for dinner. We made chicken and beef taquitos, some with flour and some with corn tortillas. It made sooooo much!! I also made a sweet corn cake and an avacado dip and cheesy tator tots. For dessert I made a mock fried ice cream pie and deep fried strawberry cream cheese stuffed tortillas covered with cinnamon and sugar. All was so good, but we were all soooo full! It was a Merry Christmas.
