Christmas Eve

We had a fun Christmas Eve again. Joey was excited to spend it with us. Tanner told him that the fun part of Christmas for us is Cmas eve, so he requested that of and worked Cmas day. I really wanted to act out the nativity, so I had Garry get the costume box down. We had Jaxon try on his stuff as soon as he got here. We had a chocolate fountain this year. I wanted to do it early so that everyone could enjoy it and it would go along with our fondue theme. When Mikel had to pump in the afternoon, we started our games We did one where you had to cover a paper cup with tissue and wrap a rubber band around it. Then you had to roll the die and start with one on the tissue. If you rolled a 6, you had to put another one on (up to three) and poke a hole every time you rolled. The idea was to be the last one standing who didn't have their die fall through, but every one was so good at it that they just weren't falling, so we ended up seeing who could be the first one to have their dice fall through. Then we did stack a jingle bell on a Popsicle stick. We had to do ones where we stayed sitting because Mikel was pumping, so we didn't get to do all the moving ones I had planned. We did go out and do our silly string fight. Jaxon started out liking it, but then as soon as he started getting messy, he didn't like the string on him. Then we came in and played a game where you had to flip a cup and if it landed face up, you could move a little dixie cup closer towards your partner. When it got to the person, they had to drink what was in the cup (pure lemon juice!). Talon had to do it twice, once with dad and once with Mikel and he lost both times. Then we did the seran wrap game (Talon and Joey scored all the gift cards), the chocolate bar game, the envelope game (Taz won the $100 and Cynjyn the $50 everyone else got $20's). Our final game was the gift exchange. We had cheese fondue for dinner. It was really good and a nice change. Talon had suggested it.  Then we acted out the nativity and I gave everyone chocolate oranges as a gift after the wise men  gifted baby Jesus. We were done by about 7pm so the kids could go home and get to bed early. Then Garry put together the bike we got Jaxon for Christmas. It was so easy to put together, 3 steps and no tools. Garry was so grateful!
