We were excited to celebrate Jaxon's birthday. Taz and Cynjyn put his
presents together so they would be ready to go when he unwrapped them. Garry's getting good at wrapping put together gifts. I had wanted to do a pinata for Jaxon this year. So Mikel was doing a Thomas the Train theme and I told Garry he should make a Thomas pinata. He's so talented and was able to do it. He started a good week before we needed it and it was fun to see his process and progress. Mikel tried to get Lindsay to do a cake for him, but she was busy, so Mikel decided to do it herself. She enlisted Tanner and Cynjyn to help. Tanner is a fondant expert (at least in our family), so he made the fondant. They went over to Mikel's house the day before the party and I think the cake turned out so good! We had the "party" on Sunday at our house. I pulled out some of my preschool circus stuff like throwing bean bags and rings. We also sang a lot of preschool songs that he loves. Carmen and her boyfriend came over for that and dinner (Pesto Chicken). We finished off with the pinata and cake. He was a happy little three year old and the party was simple to pull off. Talon and Mikel were originally going to have a celebration at the park with a Taco Truck, but that was all cancelled due to COVID-19. I loved just our simple celebration with family though!
