Soon after Annalyn was born, Cynjyn mentioned to Krissy that she wanted to do a senior trip with her to Disneyland her senior year. She figured Annalyn would be almost 5 and it would be a perfect age to do that. So we started preparations last fall, getting the Air B n B and set a date for January 25-30, 2019. It would be us, Talon's family, Ky and Krissy's families. We were all so excited. We got a great place to stay, we originally booked an 1800 square foot house with two bathrooms, but only about 4 miles from Dland. It got sold out from under the Air B n B people and so they moved us to a new house, twice the size, 6 bathrooms but 11 miles from Dland, but at the original price! We loved it and didn't even mind the drive. I prepped with my nails and made us girls a bunch of Minnie ears. Cynjyn and I were determined to take a bunch of cool photos starting with our first night there and eating at In and Out, then in front of the house we stayed at. Our first morning, we did a character breakfast at the hotel. It was an all you can eat buffet with characters walking all around it. Dang it was expensive...$34 per person, but we figured we will never do it again so we went with it, sometimes you just gotta be in vacation mode and suck it up. We started strong taking from where I stand photos, but that petered out after the first day because it's not that big of a place and not that many things on the ground, but it was fun while it lasted. Tanner and Jaxon looked so dapper waiting to enter the park. We had decided early on that our first ride would be Winnie the Pooh because Jaxon is in love with his Pooh characters and books, so we all went there first. I wore ears everyday there. The rest of the girls stopped wearing them after about the first day. Sometimes we were all together and sometimes we split up. We are definitely quick walkers and it was hard for Thurstons and Terry's to keep up with us at times. We found out that Annalyn is a daredevil and loved all the crazy rides like Splash and Guardians. Her least fave of the big rides was Matterhorn and by far her fave was Splash Mountain. We found out Beckham is so not a daredevil, but luckily, he and Clay were happy going off on their own and doing their fave things. We also found out the Max Passes are the way to go and we got them I think 4 of the 5 days we were there. That allowed us access to all the photos taken throughout the park. So with out further ado...here are random photos of us doing our thing at Disneyland for 5 glorious days! We did have matching tshirts that we wore one day, because it's the Happies Place on Earth and you gotta do that with a big group. Us ladies shirts said: We love matching shirts, the husbands said: Our wives like matching shirts, Jaxon's said: My mom likes matching shirts and the rest of the kids said, our aunts like matching shirts! What a fun adventurous 5 days we had.
Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones--perfect for Beckham, Buzz Light Year, the swings at CA, chilling at CA, Carsland, Pooh, car rides to Dland, Ferris Wheel fun, new outfit after getting soaked on Splash (Moana's pig and Lion King hat), spectators for the tea cups, group photo from Max Pass, acting out by our twin Inside Out characters (New exhibit in progress, don't know what yet),
Family selfies at CA...it was lunar new year and they had lunar stuff for the first time, so that was cool. Toon Town fun, tea cups, Adventure land relaxing...looking tired and sore feet and bodies. Car rides there, Matterhorn and Tarzan's treehouse. Mikel's cousin is dating Elsa in the Frozen play at the Aladdin theater, so they got us VIP tickets, front row, to the show. We also got to meet Elsa the next day, her day off, and she was gracious enough to take a photo with us, and that just happened to be the day we were wearing our matching shirts.
Lunar decor for lunar new year, Jumpin Jellyfish, togetherness, carousel, Lightning McQueen, random shots and Taz wringing out his shorts after getting Tsunamied by sitting in the front for Splash Mountain. Little Mermaid and Roger Rabbit.
