Well, I was able to blog twice yesterday, watch Australia and eat a long leisurely breakfast while they did up my room. I watched a lot of TV and read some. Garry got back about 5:30 and I was looking forward to getting out for dinner. I had put on some good jeans, makeup etc. and was ready. He said the two other men he was with decided not to do dinner tonight because they'd fed them Subway for lunch and they all came home with half their sandwiches. We don't have our own rent a car yet, so we were stuck in the hotel for the night. I was kind of annoyed, but we ordered Dominos and watched the best show EVER...So You Think You Can Dance! Since it was the first kickoff show, I wasn't too emotionally attached to the first ones kicked off.
This morning, so far, I've eaten a leisurely breakfast, read the paper (something I never do at home) and have checked out The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to watch this afternoon. Garry thinks he'll get done early since it is the last day of the training seminar, so we'll rent our own car tonight and find something to do. We were going to go to the temple, but Garry forgot a white shirt and tie even though it was his suggestion before we even left Vegas!! At least I have leftovers today for lunch since there is nowhere to eat around here!!

I'm envious of the quiet time, but I'd be missing out on no place to eat! I haven't watched either of the movies you mentioned, but I've heard Benjamin Button was pretty good.
I thought Calgary was a populated location. Maybe that customs agent was subliminally trying to warn you...
I read the book, "Australia" years ago and loved it. I wonder if the movie was based on that book? The thing about dinner sounds so "Ron Waiteish". We used to be in some place loaded with adventurous eating spots and he'd go to the grocery stor and buy a head of cabbage and some smoked salmon and eat in the motel room! I was really MAD on several occasions! (He is better now--we acturally eat out a lot)
p.s. you can rent white shirts in the temple!
