Happy Anniversary

It is a miracle that Garry and I are in town on the same day as our anniversary-August 14. Usually, I am still in Oregon. But this year we had a fun filled day with family. Ella wanted to "do something fun" while she was here, so we planned a fun filled day. It started with a swim. The pool gets so much more use when we have visitors in town.
Beckham isn't much of a swimmer, so he helped Tanner practice.

I got an email coupon for 30% off my entire order at the converse outlet and the kids needed new school shoes. They love converse, so I HAD to go because my coupon was only good until the next day (which was Sunday, and that wasn't going to happen). So, we got 13 pairs of shoes for $220.00. EVERY kid got at least one pair. After the store, we took a ride on the carousel.

Then, it was off to the Bellagio. I always love it there and this was a beautiful summer garden theme.

We hopped on over to the giant chocolate fountain. I had always heard about it, but had never seen it. It was amazing and all the gorgeous cakes in the little bakery were sooo fun to look at.

Then we headed to the MGM. We wanted to see the Lion habitat, and the kids wanted to walk over to the NYNY to ride the rollercoaster. So, we left Grandma, Grandpa and a sleeping Beckham and we walked over to the coaster. The kids loved it, but it's kind of spendy!! Then we went back over to the MGM and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Cynjyn had been there with a friend for her bday party and had really wanted to take us there. Grandpa obliged and it was fun to go somewhere different.
The food was delicious, but expensive. Thank you to grandpa for our delicious anniversary dinner!

Here we all are minus Garry whose taking the picture.

We ordered the vocano sundae for our bday boy Taz (he'll turn twelve the next day).
Oh, my did those kids DIG right in!!!

It was fun looking around in the shop too after dinner. They had fun replicas of rain forest animals all around.

It was a long and tiring day, but Ella CANNOT say she didn't have FUN!!

It was a Very fun day! Ella is the one who always says, "It's always an adventure at Grandma's house." or "It's always an adventure at Kim's house! And, she's right. We're glad she is always with us for our adventures!
How many years??

That is a miracle! We love celebrating your anniversary with you guys. I'm sure that's exactly how you wanted to spend your special day together :)
I guess that's what you get for having a summer anniversary!
That was a fun day. And every day is fun with you guys!
Cute picture of you and Garry. Isn't it 25 years?

Looks like a lot of fun--you are generous to share it with your family! I have to say, I do miss the Bellagio--that place is amazing!

Is it just the lighting in the pics, or are you letting your hair go? I NEED a sister-in-arms!!! If you are, I think it looks great ;)

Kim, you inspire me in so many ways. Your dedication to staying close to your family in OR already is a blessing in their lives, but someday will be such a strength to them. I have to admit... I am jealous that we don't have a "tight" extended family like you do--I sure wish we did! You are very fortunate! Love you!
