Wild turkeys, giant bugs and rain, OH MY!

Nah, it was just girls camp! Had ya going didn't I?? This was home sweet home for a week. It was HOT and it rained everyday. Usually for just a little bit, enough to cool things down a bit and settle the dust. It was a joyable experience. There were 13 girls and 8 leaders and one priesthood, so it was fun. We did a very fun craft which I'll blog later (my favorite part), and I got to do rifle shoot and I hit the target 19 times out of 20 shots and had several in the center range!! I did not rappel (they only had time for the girls, DARN IT) and I did not zipline. Can you see the rain pouring down, this was the first day AFTER we got the tents up thank goodness.

There was a shower facility and I did use it everyday (don't judge me!!) but most of the girls ussed our COLD faucette to shower?? (they were only allowed one shower a week).

There were a lot of big beetles and we had a couple of encounters with live ones. This one is dead and was under our tent!

Every morning if you got up early enough, you could see three mother wild turkeys with about 8 babies pecking there way through camp.

Our theme was builder's of eternal links and they had this temple you could visit and sign a mirror that you'd go to the temple. It was nice.

All in all it was a fun week and I was glad I went.

This sort of thing is right down your alley. I'm glad you went, too.
